Things can take time

We are too young to be any failed thing (with exception to ballerinas/athletes, etc., that tide has turned), don't worry we still have a lot of time to do what we want and need to do. We are pressured to do it all at once, at a young age. But even though we are getting older doesn't mean we have run out of time, or that what we do doesn't matter as much because of our age and the time it took us to do it. There will be an end and because there is an end we should enjoy the time we have and what we're doing with it, working hard at what we love to do because that's what we can do - we can't change what has passed, but we can make the most of what we have in the present, even if it doesn't seem like much, so that the future will be better. Success comes in so many different forms. In our society we are generally told it has to do with how much money we make or how famous we can become. Those are just certain types of success, and after all fame/money don't necessarily mean something is spectacular or of fine quality (however that can be subjective). We really have to focus on what will lead us to the success of true contentment, on what we feel will make us personally content at our core and sometimes it doesn't hurt to ask ourselves 'why', and then once we have an idea of what will bring us that joy, we should go at it with every fiber of our being. There is a lot of world out there and we can do without spending our time thinking we are failures... those thoughts are depreciating assets, when we're looking to invest.
